Merlin Entertainments is set to develop a £1m Marvel-inspired interactive attraction at Madame Tussauds Blackpool. Once completed, the popular visitor attraction expects to increase its visitor footprint by 5501 sq ft.
Guests can expect to see elements from both the original comic books as well as the recent blockbuster films, and will be able to participate in a range of interactive experiences as well as enjoy several brand new wax figures.
Madame Tussauds Blackpool’s General Manager, Matthew Titherington, said: “We are thrilled to announce the addition of Marvel Super Heroes to the attraction, in an amazing UK first.”
“The new area will be a must-visit destination for all Marvel fans, offering the chance to get up close and personal to their favourite characters from the big screen."
“We are working closely with Merlin Magic Making and Marvel on the design and build to ensure the new attraction is authentic to the comics and offers unique experiences. Many of the interactive elements are bespoke to Madame Tussauds Blackpool – something UK visitors have never seen before.”
